Why Athletes take CBD

Who exactly are those athletes who use CBD and why do they do it? I could now list the benefits of CBD, but this time I want to go a little deeper. After three years of CBD SPORTS, I have a good idea of why people first take CBD as a supplement and continue to take it. History shows us that it is often the top athletes who start using a supplement or a substance for the first time and when that proves successful, the other athletes follow. I am thinking here of examples such as protein, creatine and magnesium, but also of testosterone, anabolic steroids, EPO (Erythropoietin) and HGH (Human Growth Hormone). The first examples are still examples of supplementation that are allowed in professional sports, but the enumeration that follows are of course prohibited substances for professional athletes as these performance-enhancing and, not unimportantly, can also be harmful to the user. Athletes may also use medications such as ibuprofen, acetaminophen, diclofenac, salbutamol, opiates, and morphine. You may be feeling a little dizzy right now. The drugs mentioned are mainly painkillers and salbutamol comes in an inhaler that is often used by people who suffer from a form of asthmatic bronchitis. These substances are prohibited substances for a professional athlete, but it is also possible that a certain dosage is allowed when an athlete needs the substance due to a medical condition, as is the case with salbutamol (the inhaler), for example. The dividing line between a supplement, a drug or even drugs is often thin. A top athlete will always try to get the most out of his or her body. These athletes therefore often cannot escape the use of aids such as supplements and medication to allow their bodies to function optimally. Someone who sports at a "lower" level is actually not very different. You exercise to allow your body and mind to function optimally. To be healthy, to be resilient and to have enough energy every day to do your work and other daily things. The answer to the question of which athletes use CBD is therefore every athlete should use CBD. Before I ask "and why?" will answer do I still want to place CBD in the right place in the list of supplement, medicine or drugs.I already indicated that the dividing line is often thin and that is no different with CBD. In any case, CBD in itself is not a drug. You could possibly place Cannabis in there if you use the THC component. This psychoactive substance is therefore on the doping list as a prohibited substance for athletes. There is also such a thing as medicinal cannabis that is used to treat epilepsy, among other things. The medicinal cannabis always comes from 1 plant from 1 seed that is cloned each time so that the composition of the resources such as oil or pills from extraction is always the same. CBD SPORTS sells the supplement variant of CBD and this is therefore not a medicine and no drugs. No drugs, because the THC is not present in the products. Not a medicine, because the extraction is obtained from various plants that grow from different seeds and can have a different structure per product and batch. As a rule, the doses in supplements are lower than those in the medicinal variant, which often also contains THC.Athletes use the CBD supplements for various reasons. Treating muscle or joint pain, improving sleep, recovering from strenuous exercise, fighting inflammation, and reducing stress and anxiety are the most common reasons for using CBD in various forms on a daily basis. Like all other supplements, it is therefore not a short cut to lose weight quickly, get big muscles or improve your performance.

Why CBD is big in MMA and why it's still growing in popularity amongst other athletes and active people.

CBD and the other cannabinoids are still popular within the MMA communities. MMA fighters were amongst the first athletes trying out CBD supplements and topicals and since then stayed loyal towards using CBD in their daily regimen. The reasons are obvious. MMA athletes demand a lot from their body & mind. Anxiety, stress, insomnia, bruises, wounds, muscle strains, soreness, joint and tendon aches, you name it. MMA athletes suffer from all these inconveniences on a daily base. Not only when they actually fight, but also when they train to be ready for that fight. They are constantly taken out of their comfort zone and can only make progression when they're able to return quickly to a balanced state of their body and mind. AKA homeostasis. You probably know by now that the endocannabinoid system (ECS) plays a very important role in the human body for our survival. This is due to its ability to play a critical role in maintaining the homeostasis of the human body, which encompasses the brain, endocrine, and immune system, to name a few. The quicker they recover, the more progression they make.

Cannabis company as shirt sponsor?

Earlier this month, the news came out that the American professional disc team Colorado Summit will be playing this season with a new shirt sponsor. In the American Ultimate Disc League (AUDL) 25 teams from the USA and Canada come from four divisions. Central, South, West and East. You can compare an Ultimate Disc (UD) match to a rugby or American Football match. Replace the ball with a Frisbee. You can run without a Frisbee, but you can't do that with the Frisbee in your possession. Passing forward is allowed within an UD game and you score points if the Frisbee is caught in the end zone. If you don't catch the disc, the opposing team takes over. If you watch the video for one minute, you get it immediately.

Who uses CBD and why?

Who exactly are those athletes who use CBD and why do they do it? I could now just list the benefits of CBD, but this time I want to go a little deeper. After three years of building CBD SPORTS I think have a good idea why people take CBD as a supplement for the first time and continue to take it. History shows us that it is often the professional athletes who start using a supplement or a substance for the first time and when that proves successful, the other athletes and active life stylers follow. I am thinking of examples such as protein, creatine and magnesium, but also testosterone, anabolic steroids, EPO (Erythropoietin) and HGH (Human Growth Hormone). The first examples are still examples of supplementation that are allowed in professional sports, but the following list are of course prohibited substances for professional athletes, as this enhances performance and, not unimportantly, can also be harmful to the user. Athletes may also use medications such as Advil, Tylenol, NSAID's, salbutamol, opiates and morphine. Maybe it starts to dazzle you a little by now with al these substances athletes might use. The medicines mentioned are mainly painkillers and salbutamol is the substance in an inhaler that is often used by people who suffer from a form of asthmatic bronchitis. These substances are prohibited for a professional athlete, but a certain dose may also be allowed if an athlete needs the drug due to a medical condition, such as with salbutamol (the inhaler). The line between a supplement, a drug or even drugs is often thin. A top athlete will always try to get the most out of his or her body. These athletes therefore often cannot avoid getting a little help from supplementation and medication to allow their bodies to function optimally. Someone who exercises at a "lower" level is in fact not very different. You exercise to allow your body and mind to function optimally. To be healthy, to be resilient to diseases and to have enough energy every day to be able to do your work and other daily tasks. The answer to the question which athletes use CBD is therefore simple: every athlete should use CBD.

How to take CBD?

You may have read by now that CBD Sport Supplements can provide you with a number of benefits, but how do you start with CBD?There are basically two ways how to take CBD. On or in your body. On your body is the easiest. Apply CBD topically by means of a cream, ointment, balm, oil or gel. You can do that as often as necessary. Athletes use CBD most to prevent or treat muscle and joint pain after training. Warming creams before training to prevent muscle soreness and cooling creams for the treatment of pain, bruises or impact spots after training. It gets more complicated when we talk about CBD in your body. CBD supplements can be taken in many ways. The most popular way is taking CBD oil drops under your tongue, but you can also swallow tablets, capsules or pills, or you eat or drink products that contain CBD and as a last option you can inhale CBD through vaping, smoking or through an inhaler device.Every label on a CBD product must state the amount of CBD in milligrams, in addition to the other ingredients of course. This is generally quite clear with tablets and capsules. For example, the vegan gel capsules from PACHAMAMA contain 25Mg per capsule. The Hex tablets from CB.do contain 30Mg CBD. This also applies to the CBD products that you can eat or drink. A Rabbit Lifestyle drink contains 15Mg per can and a scoop of the Naturecan Whey Protein contains 25Mg CBD.
